Thomas Walter '10 represents USA
Thomas Walter played for the US squad on the Blair-Wellington Golf Exchange this past summer. Thomas spent three weeks in June/July traveling throughout England and Scotland, where he played several matches against local juniors.
"Our hosts were some of the most hospitable people I've ever met," said Walter, the 2010 WFS golf team scoring leader and captain. "They were the biggest reason I enjoyed the trip."
Walter played famous courses such as Sunningdale, a final qualifying site for the British Open; the Rye and West Sussex Golf Clubs; and KingsBarnes on the North Sea. The team also got to walk the Old Course at St. Andrews just before the British Open, and took an exclusive tour of the Royal & Ancient's Museum.
"It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am so grateful to have been able to participate," said Walter, who is now competing for a spot on the Bucknell University golf team.
