Jr. Black finishes season 10-0

The Jr. Black golf team ended its season a perfect 10-0 with a win Friday at home over Virginia Episcopal School, 156-173. Fourth former Charles Blaydes was the medalist with a two over par 37.

Jr. Black continue to roll

The Jr. Black golf team improved its record to 9-0 with a 160-176 victory at home Tuesday vs. Tandem Friends School. Senior Pete Heck was the medalist with a three over par 38.

The Jr. Black concludes its season Friday at home vs. Virginia Episcopal.

Woodberry edged out by Episcopal

The Tigers traveled to Northern Virginia to face the Maroon at Laurel Hills GC, a tough public track in Lorton, VA. It was the first time the schools have played each other there. Episcopal came out victorious 203-207. The match used the IAC format, counting five of the six scores. Woodberry's record falls to 11-3.

Junior Black Wins Another

Improving its record to 8-0, the Junior Black squad defeated St. Anne's Belfield on Friday at the Woodberry Forest CC. Junior James Walter lead the team with a four over par 39. However, Davis Whitmer of STAB was the medalist for the match with a 36. Junior Black looks to continue its winning streak against Tandem this Tuesday at home.

Varsity Golf Defeats Covenant

On Friday, the WFS Varsity squad hosted Covenant. In the hot and humid weather, Thomas Walter fired a one under par 34 leading the Tigers to a 156-165 victory over Covenant. This win puts the Tigers at a total record of 10-3. Their next match is at arch rival Episcopal High School Tuesday. The rest of the scores for the Covenant match were as follows:
