JV defeats St. Christopher's

On Tuesday, the JV golf team traveled to Richmond Country Club to take on the St. Christopher's team. The course was difficult because of narrow fairways, many trees, and water hazards. The weather made it all the more difficult as the wind was knocking down golf bags throughout the round. Nevertheless, in a great effort by the all the Tiger's golfers, the JV team won by16 strokes. The final score was Woodberry 194, St. Chris 210, and Woodberry improved its record to 6-0. The following were the Tiger's scores:

Jr Black remains undefeated

The Junior Black Golf team extended its perfect record to 5-0 on Tuesday after a win against Benedictine. The cold and rainy day did not stop fourth former Shep Hardison from shooting a two over 37, and other fourth formers Jack Dalrymple and Charles Blaydes from shooting 38's. The final score of the match was Woodberry 154, Benedictine 203. The following are the Tigers' scores:

Varsity Suffers Loss to Georgetown Prep

On Friday, the Tiger's varsity squad travel to the difficult Four Streams Golf Club in Bealsville, Maryland to play a twelve-hole match against the strong Georgetown Prep team. After playing hard against a tough course and opponent, the Tigers ended up losing 257-266. Denny McCarthy of Georgetown Prep was medalist with an even par round of 47. Notable Woodberry performances came from Shep Hardison and Bennett DuPont who both shot 52 (+5). The other scores were as follows:

JV wins against Trinity Episcopal

The JV team traveled with the Varsity players on Tuesday to play Trinity Episcopal's JV team. The JV players played just as well as those on the Varsity team and were able to win easily,168 to 192. Led by fourth former Jack Dalrymple with a 40, the Tigers JV team is off to a hot (4-0) start. The rest of the scores were as follows...

Varsity Golf suffers loss to Trinity Episcopal

On Tuesday, the Trinity Episcopal golf team won their first victory ever against the Tigers. Woodberry struggled at Trinity's home course, Salisbury CC (Buckingham 9). Fifth former Milt Barber led the way for the Tigers and won medalist of the match with a 39. He was the only Varsity golfer to shoot int the 30's that day. The All-time record against Trinity now stands WFS-21, Trinity 1. The rest of the scores were as follows...
