Varsity golf wins 2013 Prep League title

The Tigers successfully defended their Prep League title Tuesday. Their two-day total of 612 was twenty-two shots better than second place Collegiate.

Senior Timothy Walter (75-75) finished third, and fellow senior William Knibbs (72-80) finished fifth. Both earned All-Prep designation. Two other Woodberry Forest golfers finished in the top ten: third formers Teddy Garner (79-76, 7th) and Peter Knade (76-80, 8th), also winning All-Prep honors.

Since joining the Prep League in 1974, Woodberry Forest has won 26 golf titles, including four of the last five seasons (2009-10, 2012-13).
