Varsity golf wins 7th consecutive Disharoon Cup match

Woodberry Forest defeated St. Paul's Saturday in the 12th annual Disharoon Cup match, 15.5 to 5.5, at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, MD. There were six singles matches worth 18 points and three fourball matches worth 3 points. The Tigers swept all three points in fourball, and fourth former Peter Knade and third former Basil Boyd won all three of their singles points. Woodberry's now leads the series 8-4.

The Disharoon Cup honors Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Disharoon whose personal generosity, devotion to education, and great fondness for the game of golf brought this event into being.

The Tigers play Tuesday at Spring Creek GC in Gordonsville vs. Covenant.
